Our Team
ORGA currently has a staff of eleven (11) persons, including registered professional and accredited engineers and planners. These staff all operate out of the company’s office located in Lanham/suburban Maryland.
ORGA operates on a basic organizational structure geared toward timely and effective delivery of services to meet the need of our clients.
Principal players of our team include the following:
- Osborne R. George, P.E., PTOE, F-ITE – President/Principal Transportation Engineer/Planner with over forty (40) years of continuous practice in traffic engineering and transportation planning. As founder/president of O. R. George & Associates, he directs all aspects of the firm’s consulting activities, which include planning and engineering consulting services to public and private sector clients, primarily within the Washington-Maryland-Virginia region. A major element of the firm’s practice is data collection and analysis in support of infrastructure planning and design, urban revitalization, and private sector land-use development. He has directed data collection, analysis and support for major projects within the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia; and is quite familiar with the typical requirements and planning/design criteria of the responsible agencies. Osborne holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Civil Engineering from Howard University and George Washington University, respectively. He is a fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
- Samuel Asare-Adjebeng, PTP – Senior Transportation Planner/ Project Manager with 8 years of professional experience involving Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning, as well as Environmental Engineering. He has been significantly involved in several traffic operations and safety studies, and oversees a wide range of data collection and analysis assignments, primarily for the Maryland Department of Transportation, the District of Columbia Department of Transportation, and other public agencies within the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has had considerable experience with traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, and signal design. Samuel has proficiency in a variety of software including HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, R and C++. Samuel has a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Ghana), and a Masters Degree in Civil/Environmental Resources Engineering from the State University of New York in Syracuse. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
- Haixia Hu, P.E., PTOE, PTP – Senior Traffic Engineer/ Transportation Planner with 7 years of experience with responsible involvement in safety and operational studies, congestion mitigation studies, signal design, and development of roadway concept plans, requiring familiarity with the State’s CADD Standards. Haixia is proficient in a variety of traffic simulation and design software, including Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, CORSIM, SIDRA, as well as the MicroStation, and AutoCAD drafting software. Haixia holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from Hebei University (China) and University of Florida, respectively. She is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
